I’m not so emotional about it. It’s something that I hoped would naturally happen in my career and I am glad I did. I am enjoying the moment and I do feel good. Of course, I know it is a big deal.”

She did her graduation in commerce from Bangalore. She used to do small fashion events in college. She started living in Mumbai after her graduation.   • Radhika has a hobby of reading books.



  • In an interview, Radhika shared her experience of shooting Balenciaga Spring/Summer 2017. She said that the environment backstage was really warm and calm.



  • She is interested in photography. She is not a professional photographer but some of the pictures clicked by her have been published in W and Vogue magazines. She wants to work with Martin Parr, Pieter Hugo and Bharat Sikka. In an interview, she said,

    I don’t know anything about lighting or framing. I haven’t used many cameras but I do love my point and shoot and it does a good job.”

  • Radhika believes that it is difficult for a model to tell others about their occupation. She said that people have a mindset that modelling is not a job where someone can stay for a long time.



  • In an interview, she shared the benefits of being a model. She said that a model gets a chance to travel a lot and experience new places.



  • Radhika shared her learnings from modelling in an interview. She said that there are many people who come into our lives and try to pull us down but one should ignore them.

    Fashion has come a long way in representation, but sometimes for a show, they forget to look at you as a person and focus on your colour instead. You hear things like ‘enough brown girls’ or ‘enough white girls’. I know I have a responsibility to those girls who haven’t seen a South Indian with their skin tone being called beautiful in mainstream media. I want these girls to understand that I’m being myself and that’s what diversity is. It’s not just about race and colour but about individuality.”





  • Radhika does not gain weight easily. She eats everything and exercises when she is free.

  • Her essentials are Coconut oil, honey and her perfume.



  • She is inspired by her mother for beauty methods and talking about this, she said in an interview.

    My mother doesn’t use any products but natural, homemade remedies like turmeric, coconut oil, and egg white. She always grows in her garden what she uses on her skin or her beauty regime. I also like [my routine] minimal and low-maintenance. It’s all about what you put on the inside, and the outside takes care of itself.”
