INTRODUCTION
Heather Headley was born as a Trinidadian American singer, songwriter, actress, and record producer. She won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary R and B Gospel Album in 2010 for her album audience of one. She also won the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for the Titular Role Aidia. She starred in an American Benefit Concert in the Musical Dreams Girl along with McDonald and Lillias White in 2001. Headley performed Hall David’s song I will Never Fall in Love Again from a musical in 1968, Promises Promises.
The ceremony was later broadcast on PBS. Headley played the role of Rachel Marron. In May 2016 she played a role in the recent broadway rival of the color purple which then close on January 8, 2017, at the Benneth B. Jacob Theatre. According to records Headley, her first debut album This is Who I am in October 2002 where she collaborated with RCA Records. Her works on this album earned her a Grammy Award-nominated for the Best Female Vocal Performance and for the Best New Artist making her the first Tony Award winner to be nominated for this award.
Headley has cast a role on the TV series She’s Gotta Habit in 2017. In 2018 she again appeared taking the role of Gwen Garret on the series Chicago Med.
EARLY LIFE
Headley started playing piano at concerts at the age of four and then later immersing herself in the eclectic music of her culture. She was born into a music-loving family. After winning the Tony Award Headley took the center stage in the role of Elton John She started singing at a very young age and became a full-time performer at the age of 22. From there she decided to begin her journey as a recording artist. She is said to have helped many songwriters and song producers in songwriting. This allowed her to develop her love for music and singing.

As mentioned before Headley’s family was supportive of her joining the music industry. She is the daughter of Hannah and Derek Headley who moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana in the year 1989. She married Brian Musso on September 6, 2 003. She is a mother of three, Her children were named John, David, Jordan.
