Business
Debanjali Kamstra started her career working as cabin crew with Emirates, largest airline and one of two flag carriers of the United Arab Emirates. In 2006, she started working as the Business Development Manager for a company named ‘ITechnoweb.’ In 2011, she launched her own interior design firm Veloche Interior and Exhibition. Later in 2012, Debanjali Kamstra also got employed as the General Manager for Veloce Dubai, an interior design firm known for its professional and fast service for both the field of exhibition and interiors.
Beauty Pageant
Debanjali Kamstra is the first contestant from United Arab Emirates who has represented the country at the Mrs World beauty pageant. She was encouraged by a close friend to contest in the pageant. Narrating about her selection process for the Mrs World 2021, she said
It was a friend who encouraged me to apply. I immediately got a call back from Mrs World saying they were surprised because no one from the UAE had ever applied before. We then did a couple of rounds of interviews before I was told I’d been selected as Mrs UAE World.”
Debanjali was among the top 15 finalists of the Mrs World pageant. She was announced as the top three contestant joined by Mrs Jordan and Mrs American for the competition. During the question answer round for the final round, she was asked,
What do you want the judges and the world to know about you?
To this, she replied,
I want the world to know that I am a woman who has started her life from scratch and I have never been gifted with everything I’ve wanted, so I have worked really hard to achieve everything. Being the pioneering United Arab Emirates contestant, I’m [for the] first time representing the country in the platform of the world and, if I become Mrs World, I will do a lot for the people of determination as I want them to have jobs and I also want to support the children with autism.”
But narrowly missed the crown to Shaylyn Ford at the star-studded event held in the Las Vegas on 15 January 2022. Debanjali Kamstra was announced to be the second runner-up for Mrs World 2021 beauty pageant.

- Debanjali Kamstra, in one of her interviews, revealed that her her preparations for the contest have been entirely self-funded. She said,
I have self-funded for everything, which I do not regret as it was my initiative to take this step forward. In the future, I would be able to assist new contestants in seeking information and getting the best advice when they wish to gather the feather for their wings to fly.”

My mother is my role model, she inspires and motivates me, and she teaches me to be kind and strong at the same time. I also look up to two very inspiring women – Mrs Priyanka Chopra Jonas, the Indian actor, Miss World 2000 and an ultimate example of a successful woman and also Reem Al Hashimy, as she has proved to be one of the assets for UAE.”
