Films
Mrunmayee’s debut in Marathi Industry was in the year 2007. She played the role of Dandekar’s daughter in the movie It’s Breaking News. Next year, she appeared in her first Bollywood movie Humne Jeena Seekh Liya.
She went ahead and gave applaudable performances in numerous Marathi films such as Fatteshikast (2019), Shikari (2018), Bogda (2018), Farzand (2018), Natsamrat (2016), Katyar Kaljat Ghusali (2015), Sata Lota Pan Sagla Khota (2014), Aandhali Koshimbir (2013) and Ek Cup Chya (2009). She can be seen in another Bollywood film The Power (2021) as Ratna Thakur.

Mrunmayee Deshpande bagged her first tv serial Agnihotra in 2007 which aired on Star Pravah. She is best known for her leading role as Janki in the Marathi serial Kunku (2012) which was about a small-town girl marrying a middle-aged man and moving to Mumbai.
Theatre
Mrunmayee also enacted in a Marathi play called A Fair Deal in 2015. Talking about the play in Maharashtra Times, she said that it is a Vivek Bele style drama and she expects people to like it.
