From 2017-2020, he pursued a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Political Science at Sri Aurobindo College, University of Delhi, New Delhi. Since childhood, Thakuria was a passionate dancer and grew up participating in various dance competitions in his school.

Collaboratively, Thakuria has produced several dance choreography videos with the dance group ‘The A-Team Kolkata,’ which are uploaded on A-Team’s YouTube channel.

Thakuria has also worked as a dance trainer at The Ace Dance Crew India, where he took hip-hop and urban choreography classes in 2019.

In 2019, he appeared as a contestant in the reality TV dance competition show ‘Dance Plus 5’ as a member of the dance group The Ace, which qualified to be among the Top 10 in the show.

- Apart from dancing, Thakuria is also fond of rapping and beatboxing. In a student short film titled ‘Crazy B- Story of a Rapper’ (2018), Thakuria was featured as an insane rapper. The film was shot by a student named Manaskam Kakati, as a part of his college project.
- A cat lover, Thakuria has a pet cat named Iris. He uploads various pictures with Iris on his Instagram account.
