Career
He worked as a fashion photographer in his early days. Later, he started working as a casting director with a Delhi based casting agency, The Aura Fashion. In 2019, he became the owner and founder of his casting agency, Medazenith Makers. He has worked with various prominent Punjabi singers, such as Guru Randhawa, Karan Randhawa, Kaka, and Karan Aujla. He also manages artists like Sera Kishore and Malvi Malhotra.

- In February 2021, Urfi Javed, an Indian TV actress and model accused him of sexually harassing girls in consideration of giving them modelling assignments. She called him out for not paying her the money for her work and for asking girls to compromise with him or the producers of the music videos. She posted a series of Instagram stories wherein she mentioned that she has proof that Obed is a sexual predator. She said that after posting the stories, 5 women texted her about similar instances with him. One of them mentioned that Obed told her that he would cast her in the leading role opposite her favourite singer only if she is ready to compromise with the producer. when she declined the offer, he told her to do a video call with the producer instead without showing her face. Various celebrities such as Priyank Sharma, Arushi Handa, and Nikita Bhamidipati posted stories in support of Urfi and wrote about their similar incidents with him.
