Started her journey from commercials
Anchal Singh initiated her career in the entertainment industry after getting an offer for an Ad for Dena Bank. Following that, she began working in advertising while also pursuing her graduation.
She has done over 300 advertisement which includes national as well as international commercials. Asian Paints, Dabur Fem Bleach, Ponds, Garnier, Vivel, Malabar Gold, Jos Alukkas, and Hyundai are among the brands for which Anchal has done commercials. Anchal has also been featured on the cover of Femina and has appeared in numerous print advertisements for companies like Coke, Pepsi, Amway, Lays, Horlicks, and others. Her advertisement career includes working with renowned personalities such as Ranbir Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Priyanka Chopra, Hrithik Roshan, Shilpa Shetty, and Hema Malini, and many more.

Anchal Singh got her big debut in the year 2013 in Srilankan Cinema when she was offered the role of princess Yashodhara in the movie “Sri Siddhartha Gautama”. This film was released in nearly 20 countries and was dubbed in numerous languages including Hindi, Mandarin, Thai, and Vietnamese. Her work in the film was praised.
In 2013 she got the role of Ria in the movie Ramiya Vastavaiya. She then appeared in a lead role in the Telegu film Dhilluku Dhuddu (2016) and Punjabi film Zakhmi (2020).

- While Anchal Singh was shooting for her Tamil film Dhilluku Dhuddu, she was suggested to change her name to Shanaya. She was fine with that until it caused a misunderstanding. In an interview she said
It was my first film in Tamil and when the team suggested that I get a name change, I was OK with it. But post that I wasn’t getting the right kind of films, and when I was wondering why I came to know that people got confused as they thought Anchal and Shanaya were two different actresses. I used to get calls asking whether I knew Shanaya as we looked similar
