Television
Khyaati made her acting debut at the age of seventeen with the Star Plus show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi (2000) as Sejal.
Thereafter, she appeared in many other Hindi television shows including Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki (2005), Kesar (2004), C.I.D (2002), Ssshhhh… Koi Hai (2002) and Mamta (2006).
After a two-year break, Khyaati returned to television in 2011 with the show Beendh Banunga. In an interview, she said that she took a break from her work because of her children.
She worked in many other television shows including Dil Se Di Dua… Saubhagyavati Bhava (2011), Shubh Vivah (2012), and Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev (2011).
She is currently seen in the Balaji Telefilms famous TV show Kumkum Bhagya (2019), playing the role of Pallavi Vikram Kohli. Talking about her role, she said,
I have got much more recognition. I have been a part of the show for two and a half years now and when you are a part one of the top three shows in the country, it is bound to. People recognize me whenever I go but it is more for my role in Kynkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Dil Se Dil Tak. But now, the recognition is coming only from Kumkum Bhagya and wherever I go, I am addressed as Pallavi.

Films
Khyaati worked as a supporting actor in the movie Nayak: The Real Hero (2001). She has also appeared as a Journalist in the film Deha (2007). However, she claimed that she was more inclined toward working in television shows rather than in Bollywood films. In an interview, she stated,
I have never been a big fan of Bollywood. I have acted in Mahesh Manjrekar’s “Deha” but that happened as my husband is his friend. I also did a small role in “Nayak”, but like I said, it’s only TV for me. You know, I started my acting when I was a 17-year-old, but I always wanted to be an actor and not a star. For me, the role needs to be character driven and not just glamorous and chic.”
