Salesperson


Arun Bali, in his young days, used to work for Britannia Industries. He worked as a salesperson who travelled to many places like Punjab, UP, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan to sell biscuits.


Singer


Before landing a career in acting, Arun Bali was a singer. During the rehearsing of an opera, Arun’s brother, who was in theatre, pushed him to play a role that surprisingly required singing also.

In 1991, he made his Bollywood debut with the film ‘Saugandh.’ He played the role of Shyamaldas Chanchad in the film 3 Idiots.

He played the role of Darshan Singh Poonpuri in the 2014 film ‘Punjab 1984’ and the chief priest of Kedarnath Temple in the film ‘Kedarnath’ (2018). In 2012, he appeared in the film ‘Barfi’ as Jhilmil’s grandfather.
