Ram Ramasamy was born as Ram Chandar on Tuesday, 20 December 1994 (age 28 years; as of 2022) in Salem, Tamil Nadu. He did his schooling at Golden Gates Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Venketwasapuram, Tamil Nadu. Later, he moved to Chennai, where he pursued a Bachelor of Commerce at Loyola College (2012-2015). A keen sportsman since childhood, he used to play cricket. However, he inclined towards modelling in 2016. In an interview, while talking about the onset of his modelling career he said,
I got into modelling in 2016. When I was in college, I didn’t really know what modelling was completely about. But, I auditioned for the college fashion team in 2015, and I was rejected. That’s when I started wanting it really badly.”
