Babloo Prithveeraj is an Indian actor who predominantly works in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam language films. He is known for his negative roles in the films such as the role of ‘Prakash’ in the film “Pelli Pandiri” (1997).

Reportedly, Prithveeraj is dating a 24-year-old woman named Sheetal who hails from Andhra Pradesh.

In an interview, the couple revealed that they met at a restaurant in Bangalore, and Sheetal was unaware of Prithveeraj’s profession. Due to the age difference, the couple received many negative comments. In the interview, Sheetal talked about the hate comments on her relationship with Prithveeraj and said that she didn’t care what society would think, and she was accepting the fact that Prithveeraj was in contact with his ex-wife, Beena, and would take care of her and son, Ahed, as long as he could. Prithveeraj, however, brushed off the age factor and said that he found Sheetal compatible and mature to be his partner. Breaking the silence on his relationship with Sheetal, Prithveeraj said,


Loneliness is the biggest bane. Sheetal, for her age, is very mature-minded. She has the wisdom of a grandmother. I am fit. We both vibe well both mentally and intellectually. Sheetal’s thinking is refined. I am very young at heart.”

Film


In 1971, Prithveeraj made his debut in the Tamil film industry as a child artist with the film ‘Naangu Suvargal.’ In 1974, he appeared in a Telugu-language film ‘Amma Manasu’ and made his debut as a child actor in the film.

Prithviraj has appeared as a child actor in many other films such as ‘Dr Siva’ (1975), ‘Naalai Namadhe’ (1975) and ‘Naan Vazhavaippen’ (1979).


Television


In 1996, he made his first appearance on television as ‘Prasad’ on a Tamil-language television serial ‘Marmadesam.’ The television serial was broadcasted on the channel ‘Sun TV.’

He appeared in other Tamil television serials such as ‘Raja Rajeshwari ‘ (2005), ‘Alaipayuthe’ (2008) and ‘Vani Rani’ (2013). In 1998, Prithveeraj acted in ‘Aalu Magalu,’ a Telugu-language daily soap opera – broadcasted on the channel ETV.

Controversy


Remarks on Kollywood actors Ajith and Surya


Reportedly, Babloo’s remarks on Kollywood actors Ajith and Suriya in an interview heated a controversy. According to the sources, Prithveeraj was asked to say good and bad things about his co-stars. Prithveeraj, however, called Ajith a down-to-earth, stylish, and incredible actor with zero dedication. Prithveeraj in the interview said,


Good thing is that he’s very down-to-earth. Very stylish, cool chap. Bad thing is that zero dedication. He doesn’t want to act. He’s not bothered.”

  • He is a fitness enthusiast and often performs high-intensity activities like rock climbing, etc.



  • Reportedly, Prithveeraj, his ex-wife, Beena, and his son, Ahed, were stopped by the official at the airport, claiming that Ahed, an eleven-year-old specially-abled, could be a threat to other passengers on the flight. The CSIF officer defended his official and allegedly stated that only he was following the rule of not allowing “mentally retarded” passengers as the international civil aviation rules tell so.



  • Reportedly, an audio message of Prithveeraj went viral in which he was talking about ending his life. Later, it was found that the audio message was a part of one of his short films. Babloo Prithveeraj made his debut as a director with this short film for the YouTube channel Madras Meter. In an interview, Prithveeraj talked about the audio and mentioned that this rumour turned out to be positive as he was able to deliver a positive message to the people through it. While talking about the outcomes of the rumour, Prithveeraj said,

    No matter how hard life can be at times, suicide can never be the solution. In fact, I had at one point of time reached such a low that I had only Rs 80 with me and not even a place to stay. But, I was determined to get through that phase. Some good things always comes out of bad. The controversy actually helped the message reach a large number of people. I got complementary messages from all over the world. Though I have acted in numerous films and won several awards, doing something of this sort and succeeding makes me happy. This would only encourage me with such good initiatives.”



  • In 2104, Babloo set up ‘Cha Republic,’ a bubble tea shop, at 5, 2nd Avenue in Besant Nagar, Chennai. Reportedly, he was inspired by a  shop in Malaysia that he saw while driving past it.
