Seater began his acting career in the late 1990s and has since appeared in numerous television series, including short films, direct-to-video movies, made-for-television movies, and several television series.
Seater played the lead character in Mattimeo: A Tale of Redwall, which aired in 2000 and starred as Lucas Randall in Strange Days at Blake Holsey High, which started airing in 2002 and concluded in 2006. He also had a part in the 2005 film The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio, which was written and directed by him. Following that he had a recurring role on the show ReGenesis for four seasons before it ended.
